The Challenge
- Distributed across continents, 15 teams consisting of 150 people in a US-based photo products website with a development centre in India, needed to improve and consolidate their processes, normalizing them across teams.
The Intervention
- Assessment and coaching of US and India based teams, setting up an improvement agenda for each team and monitoring progress of the improvement plans. The consultant also played the role of backup scrum master.
The Outcome
- Improved agile practices, with teams detecting their own issues and resolving them, including:
- Effectiveness of the daily stand-ups
- Test automation
- Success of daily builds
- Planning accuracy
- Interaction between US and Indian resources
- Effectiveness of Agile PM tool usage
- Self-organization capability of the teams
- Role performance of the Scrum Masters and Product Owners
