PMI appoints Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir, PMP, as member of PMIEF’s Community Engagement Committee

The Project Management Institute’s Educational Foundation(PMIEF) is a non-profit, public charitable organization and PMI’s philanthropic arm. While the Project Management Institute (PMI) focuses on making project management indispensable for business results, PMIEF focuses on bringing the power of project management to the rest of society.As former Vice-President of Education & Certifications of the PMI Switzerland Chapter. Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir, PMP, is well prepared to assume his new functions in the Community Engagement Committee, which will include contacting and establishing relationships with chapters and regions in order to create awareness of PMIEF, cultivate new donors, request donations and continue to keep lines of communication vibrant with donors.

Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir is a highly competent project management expert, who also wrote“Overview to the PMBOK® Guide” described as the book for everyone in need of a readable instruction to best practice management. He is very much in demand as project troubleshooter, coach and trainer.

The foundation views project management as a critical skill for everyone Its programs focus on three main goals: building a better prepared workforce, preparing youth for success in life and helping people in need by aiding disaster relief.

PMIEF’s ability to accomplish this work is directly related to the support of others. As a global organization, the foundation seeks partnering opportunities with PMI communities and other major charitable and service organizations.
